Everyone say hi to the the inspiredly named, Brian! Along with Akila, he more or less rounds out the trifecta of Cleo and her friends. Think Harry, Hermione, and Ron. Or Buffy, Willow and Xander. Which I guess would make Khensu Giles. Or Dumbledore. Actually, McGonagall would make more sense…
ANYHOW, I was actually torn about including this next sequence (it’ll run for a couple weeks) since it’s kind of a hiccup in my pacing for Chapter 2′s third act. But ultimately I left it in because I felt it was important to show a bit of what Brian’s relationship to Cleo is like early on and better explain how Cleo gets from point A to point B. It’ll also give some hints toward the comics’s next story arc.

Yes, but who’s Luna?
Pudding!
oh my i love luna.
Luna was a great character … to bad about her dad not having a spine and all. Still, given enough pressure, most anyone would’ve caved in to save their daughter I suppose.
I love Cleo sneaking up behind Brian! Puts me in mind of me playing Doom (back in the old days of DOS computers) and someone sneaking up on me. Durned near broke my neck falling out of my chair. LOL.
Oh … and “Litter box Committee” – ROFL!
But Mike, EVERY great epic needs a Brian!
The name obviously isn’t Brain. ;-)
Just thought I’d let you know, I’m trying to spread the word about “Cleopatra in Spaaaace!”. Mentioned in my blog of my top dozen web comics. FWIW.
@Barn0wl – hey thanks, man! i really appreciate that. so cool that Cleo made your top list! :D
@Angela – hah! i guess so. :)
@Rags – there’s more to him than you might expect…
Boy- comments really dropped off this week. And I was really happy with this page! Go figure. Of course, how much can really be commented about week to week. I’m starting to think about some alternative scheduling options…
