So I had this whole scene where Cleo goes back to her dorm and pieces together the costume you all know and love and lets Akila in on what she’s doing and all this stuff, but you know what? This story has got to move forward! So I had to let it go. Maybe I’ll find time to draw it sometime as a deleted scene or something. Or have Wes Molebash draw it for me. That would be pretty awesome.
I am at Heroes Con next week! My absolute favoritest con of the year. Hope I get to see some of you there!

You could always include the costume-piecing-together sequence as part of your next downloadable book? Just the thought.
I LOVE Cleo’s expression in that last panel! I can see it going through her head how she’s been caught, she’s going to get sent back to her own time, the future is doomed. Not to mention how she won’t get to ride the super-cool Sphinx-bike! (I want one of those too!) Actually, her shocked look in the 2nd panel is great too. Excellent sequence Mike!
hey, thanks john. kinda quiet this week but i was really happy with this page. thanks for the kind words!
You’re very welcome! I am rather surprised at the lack of comments this week. I guess the holiday weekend may have kept people away from the ‘net for a few days. For me, it was just a regular weekend.
Oh, and I sooooooo wanted to yell “w00t!!!! First post!!!!!”, but I restrained myself. LOL
It probably just felt like a “calm before the storm” kind of page, so all of us just played along!
Well, it’s a theory anyway. Personally, I’m just shallow, yet smart enough to realize I shouldn’t make it obvious with braindead commentary. Well, most of the time.
haha. yeah maybe that’s it. i love your guys’ commentary though. braindead or otherwise. ;)
it did feel strange how quiet it was this week though. i was worried i ignorantly drew something insulting. or people simply don’t like wires and pipes dangling everywhere. hope that’s not the case! i love drawing wires and pipes dangling everywhere.
I don’t mind wires and pipes at all! Now that you’ve had me counting them though, I actually noticed something else.. Is that a dalek in the foreground of the first panel?
let’s just say it was heavily dalek influenced (although i was SOOO tempted to put a real one somewhere in there).
The wires & pipes really add to the setting. I liked them. As for insulting … don’t forget that Don Rickles (among others) made a very good career out of being insulting. :)
And if that does not pan out, Woody Allen made a career out of being neurotic. There’s options, still!
