so our best chance of seeing where this story WOULD go (albeit not exactly as the scholastic books are an alternate Cleo-verse) is if the scholastic books sell well and you publish more of them later? if so, let us know when they’re out and we’ll all blog/publish them on our social media!

much as you are being very considerate to answer all of our questions, i think that one is on the top of everyone’s agenda and it was quite clear…i’d say it like this: HELP ME SELL THE BOOKS…AND you’ll get your canonical continuation of the Cleo-verse! Then explain how we could all help with viral marketing…if I were doing this, I’d ask to collect all of your online readers emails right now, so you could email us news when there’s news, and this kind of shtick above when the moon is in the seventh house.

Unfortunately no. Exclusive publishing rights includes digital publishing as well. But the webcomic will stay up, so at least there’s that.

Do you think it might be possible to buy digital copies of the books in the future? Buying a real book is unfortunately not an option for me. Either way, congrats!

While I suppose it’s always a possibility, It’s not something I have an interest in doing. Besides, the webcomic isn’t going anywhere, so I don’t really see the reason for redoing it anyhow.

As for your questions, no hosting a website is not cheap, but CiS is just one section of my entire website. So I have no plans to shut it down. Just the opposite in fact! I plan on updating with some “behind the scenes” stuff, preview pages, and of course where to buy the books!

Scholastic found me from picking up the two self-published books at SDCC a couple years ago, although I think your theory makes a better story. :)

Also I should clarify, Scholastic does not own the full rights to CiS- only the publishing rights. I’m still the full copyright owner of the comic.

I’m honestly not that interested in redoing what I’ve already done, but like I mentioned above, the webcomic storyline is canon. So I will be alluding to stuff that happened in it within the books (as well as fitting the ending in as well).
