Top 3!

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

I love those Comic News Insider guys. First they listed Cow & Buffalo as one of their favorite comics of 2009, THEN they named me this year’s artist to watch and NOW they just listed Cleo as one of their Top 3  on this week’s Episode 241! Of course even if they hadn’t made me blush a thousand times, I’d still say you should check out their show. Jimmy and Joe are two of the nicest guys in the industry. We comics people are blessed to have them.

Listen to Ep 241 HERE (Cleo is mentioned about 41 min in).

Cleopatra returns July 5th

Monday, June 14th, 2010

Sorry for being so absent lately, folks. I went from recovering from HeroesCon (which was fantastic- awesome meeting so many of you!) to diving straight into SDCC preparation. Part of that preparation is that I made a crazy-spur-of-the-moment decision to print up copies of Cleo chapter 1 complete with bonus materials and an all new cover. Because of that I’m bumping up the initial start date of chapter 2 by one week. So Cleo’s next grand adventure begins in three weeks: Monday, July 5th. It’ll be worth the wait! I promise!

In the meantime, check out this stunning pin-up my pal (and fellow SD7 member) Grant Gould created for the new book:

Simply gorgeous. Everyone here should be subscribed to his OWN sci-fi, space-girl adventure comic, Dimension Dust as well as checking up on the beautiful art Grant occasionally posts on his blog. Especially you Star Wars fans.

Also, my buddy Jimmy Aquino conducted a quick interview with me while I was at Heroes. You can listen to the insanely gargantuan episode HERE on Comic News Insider. My bit comes up about 2 hours in but honestly, I’m the least interesting part of the show. I would just skip me and listen to everyone else.

Writing Webcomics Interview

Friday, October 22nd, 2010

There’s a new interview with me up on Scott King’s great new Writing Webcomics column. I think you guys will find it really interesting. It’s the first interview I’ve conducted centered squarely on Cleo, so there are a lot of fun tid-bits in there including the comic’s origins, my writing process and some hints of stuff coming up. Scott asked some good questions.
